Como ya muchos de mis amigos en Facebook habrán notado, además de cocinar, otra de mis pasiones es escribir. Desde muy niña amo escribir. Ya recuerdo cuando tenía 9 años hice un pequeño libro de cuentos, el cual nunca me atreví a hacer público. ¿Por qué? Por timidez, temor a la crítica, o quizás hasta la burla. En aquellos años los únicos medios de comunicación escrita se limitaban solo a la publicación de libros, tener una columna en algún periódico o revista. Lograr eso en un país latinoamericano como en el que actualmente vivo (República Dominicana), significaba que había que ser famoso, tener influencias, “conocer gente” o hasta pertenecer algún partido político que fuera de alguna manera “a gusto” del medio de circulación en el que uno pretendiera escribir. Luego, ya a finales de los 90 empezaron a circular los “blogs” en la web dándole la oportunidad a uno de hacer su sueño realidad.
Empecé mi actividad “blogistica” hace ya casi un año con el blog “musulmanalatina”. Como el ser humano no cesa de aprender y crecer, comprendí que ese nombre limitaba mi persona y quien soy. A Maryam no solamente la fascina el Islam, sino también la política nacional e internacional, las religiones del mundo y como el hombre sincero se acerca a la Divinidad, la historia, la cocina, la educación, el arte, las culturas del mundo, etc. En fin, pienso hacer de este blog un lugar en el que pueda compartir con TODOS mis ideas e investigaciones. Los invito a a apoyarme rebatiendo lo que digo o aprobándolo, como ustedes quieran solo por favor “digan algo” 🙂

As many of my friends in Facebook have noticed, besides cooking, another of my passions is to write. Since childhood I love writing. I remember when I was 9 years old I wrote a small book of tales, which I never dared to publish. Why? Because of shyness, fear of critics, or perhaps afraid to be mocked. During those years the only means of written communication were only limited to books, columns in a newspapers, or in a magazine. To achieve that in a latin american country as where I live (Dominican Republic), meant that one had to be famous, have some influences, know people, or even belong to some political party that “pleased” the mean of communication that one intended to write. Later on, in the late 90´s blogs started ciculating in the web giving the oportunity to make one´s dream to become true.
I started my “blogging” activity almost a year ago with the blog “musulmanalatina”. Since human beings never stop learning nor growing, I understood that name limited myself and who I am. Maryam is not only fascinated by Islam, but also international-national politics, religions of the world and how sincere people try to approach the Divinity, history, cooking, education, art, cultures of the world, etc. Thus, I plan to do from this blog a place where I can share with EVERYBODY my thoughts and investigations. I invite all to support me by rejecting or aproving what I say, as you wish but just please say” something” 🙂
